About Rich Rosa
Rich Rosa has broadcast over 400 collegiate-level sporting events, including basketball, football, baseball, hockey, soccer, softball, field hockey, and volleyball.
• Presently a freelancer, Rich calls games for several colleges in New England.
• In 2025-2026, Rich has broadcast on ESPN+, NESN, FloSports, NJCAA Network, and NCAA.com.
• Rich worked in production for ACC Network games while at Syracuse University, and he presently (2026) works part-time as a production assistant for the Worcester Red Sox, the Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
• Rich has called the NE10 men’s soccer championship game three out of the last four years (2022, 2023, and 2025). He also called the NE10 women’s soccer championship game in 2025.
• The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) hired Rich in March 2025 and again in March 2026 to broadcast its Division III men’s basketball national championship tournament in Herkimer, New York. He broadcast 17 games on the NJCAA Network over four days both years.
• Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, hired Rich in 2025 to call softball on ESPN+, and he handled play-by-play duties for baseball games for Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York.
• In the spring of 2025, Rich interned in the sports department at ABC NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV). For his graduate school capstone, he covered the 2025 Green Bay Packers’ NFL training camp with CBS Local 5 (WFRV-TV).
• Rich graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, majoring in broadcast and digital journalism in the sports media and communications track. He earned his master’s degree in the summer of 2025.
• Rich earned his bachelor’s degree in sports media, summa cum laude, from Franklin Pierce University’s honors program in 2024. He had a triple minor in sports and recreation management, communications, and digital media design. He also received numerous honors for his work at Franklin Pierce’s Ravens Sports Network.
• Rich has written various game and feature stories, including for Franklin Pierce Athletics, Syracuse’s Newhouse Sports Media Center, Green Bay’s CBS Local 5 (WFRV-TV), and 97.9 WHAV Radio.
